The challenge
At the body welding process, the manufacturer wants to prevent the assembly mistake in the post-process (dropout of parts etc.).

The customer wants to conduct tendency control by taking the measurement data of each model/measurement location. The customer also wants to analyze a cause of defect generation.

The solution
Measuring a total of 4 points at the front or back with 4 laser displacement sensors. The calculation of the car body width will be done by using a multi-controller.

It is possible to execute real-time batch logging of 4-point sensing data by using "Smart Monitor Zero Professional" or Data Storage Unit.

Added value
When using this CMOS laser displacement sensor, measurement is not depending on the state of measurement point, because of the wide dynamic range.

Using a multi controller to calculate the width of the car is a big cost benefit since it doesn’t require the use a PLC or a digital panel meter.
